3 Color-Driven Travel Itineraries
Spring break isn’t just for students. Take a break from overcast skies by splashing some color into your next trip (or just daydreaming about it!).
Our designers pulled this season’s palette from the vibrancy of the outdoors, leaning into colors that brighten up every day. Here are three color-driven destinations – with color-coded activities – to inspire your travels.
Ubud, Bali
- Bright Greens – The green in Bali is endless. Surrounded by lush jungle, visit some of the beautiful temples in Ubud, explore the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, or see the Tegalalang Rice Fields (also a UNESCO World Heritage site).
- Purples, Pinks, Yellows – Enjoy a traditional Balinese spa with a colorful flower bath.
- What to pack: Sunkissed Skort Dress
Mexico City, Mexico
- Browns – Take a stroll through the city’s oldest neighborhood and City Center, El Centro Histórico, for an architectural exploration.
- Reds – Step into the Art Deco-era in the La Condesa and Roma neighborhoods. Take a walking tour, then enjoy the plethora of restaurant and café choices in this area (for bonus red points, get some fresh pico de gallo).
- Oranges – Travel down the canals of Xochimilco on a traditional decorated boat or catch sunset at dinner out.
- What to pack: Treescape Shirt and Mission Ridge Shorts
Big Sur, California
- Deep blues – Highway 101 has bountiful coastal views, but for a hike with a view, try Soberanes Viewpoint at Garrapata State Park. It offers expansive views of the Pacific Ocean!
- Dark greens – Take in the lush, towering redwoods at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park (this is the southernmost habitat for California’s coastal redwoods). While at the park, enjoy a hike along Pfeiffer Falls Trail to take in sweeping views of the Big Sur River Valley (insider tip: if this trail is closed, try hiking up and back on Valley View trail).
- What to pack: Taj Hemp Button Back Tank and Balsam Pants
